2008 breeding season

16th february

took my female saker over to a friends to pair with his tiercel peregrine/prairie.

saw one pair of my mexican harris hawks mating today, another pair building a nest.

Superior harris hawks must be mating as female looks bald (male plucks her head whilst mating)
Silver gyr/sakers scraping in nest site.

Some Nice Photos

Here are some pictures of birds that we own and have bred. Also some nice photographs taken on our travels.

Male Barbary Falcon which was bred by Martin Jones. He is part of our breeding programme and this year we are hoping that he and his mate will produce some nice chicks

Male Blonde Saker. We have one of his sons to be paired with our Female Blonde Saker (see picture below)

Black Gyr Saker. We bred this bird in 2007.

Female Black Sparrowhawk (Bella). A beautiful bird but completely unmanagable!!! She is now living in Bulgaria in a bird of prey centre.

Female Blonde Saker bred by me. She is on loan to another breeder as part of his breeding programme but will return to us in due course.

Male Goshawk. Photo taken at The National Bird of Prey Centre in Newent.
